Claims Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Claims Administration:

      Register, review and capture new claims, ensuring information is complete and accurate. Verify claim eligibility against policy terms, underwriting conditions and contractual obligations. Liaise with insurers and external assessors, track claims from notification through to settlement and maintain accurate and secure claim files.

    • Stakeholder Communication:

      Act as the main contact point for employers, brokers, members and service providers. Provide timely, accurate and professional claim updates, handle queries empathetically and escalate complex, disputed or high-value claims where required.

    • Compliance & Governance:

      Adhere to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, company policies, FSCA regulations and POPIA requirements. Follow internal risk management, audit and governance procedures and ensure confidentiality of sensitive claimant information.

    • Reporting & Process Improvement:

      Prepare claims reports, statistics and MI for management review. Monitor claim turnaround times against SLAs, identify process inefficiencies, risks and trends and contribute to initiatives that enhance claims processes and customer experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Risk Benefits, Employee Benefits and Financial Services

Education/Qualification requirements:

 

    • Matric (Grade 12) – essential

    • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in group risk claims administration

    • Familiarity with group risk benefits including life, disability, income protection, critical illness, and funeral cover

    • Previous experience engaging with brokers, insurers, and medical professionals preferred

Bellville, Cape Town – Office Based
Johannesburg – Remote/Office Based
Durban – Remote Based
Must be able to work from home and travel to key relationship meetings as required
