Our Products
Group Life Cover
In the unfortunate event of an employee passing away, our group life cover ensures financial security for their family's future. Your client can choose from different forms of coverage:
- Multiple of salary
- Multiple of salary (minus the individual's share of the fund)
- Flat benefit amount
This cover can be approved within a retirement fund or as a separate option. Regardless of the chosen form, the basic benefit remains consistent for all individuals in a category.
Your client can also enhance their coverage with:
- Continued Cover: If an employee becomes disabled, their group life cover continues under the group life policy, if they are receiving a disability benefit.
- Tax Replacement Cover: This coverage makes sure that when both the group life cover and a part of the Retirement Fund are approved, they include taxes. The goal is to ensure that the full intended benefit amount is paid out to beneficiaries when the insured person passes away, without any tax deductions.
- Accidental Cover: Provides an additional payout for accidental death.
- Conversion Option: Allows employees to convert their coverage into an individual policy when they leave the employer, with minimal requirements and no underwriting. This option is available both upon withdrawal and retirement.
- Flexible Death Benefit: In addition to the main compulsory death benefit, a flexible death benefit may be added when an employee chooses additional cover.
- Educator: Provides financial support for education expenses to the employee's family.
Lump Sum Disability Benefit
Our Lump Sum Disability Benefit provides a one-time lump sum payment to employees who become totally and permanently disabled due to illness or injury, rendering them unable to work. Once this option is paid, the death benefit falls away.
This benefit considers disability in both the employee's occupation and any occupation, ensuring comprehensive coverage. The benefit may be selected as tapered or non-tapered during the five years leading up to retirement age.
Critical Illness Benefit
Our Critical Illness Benefit is designed to assist employees when they're diagnosed with a critical illness, helping them make necessary lifestyle changes.
Options for this benefit include standard coverage, fully comprehensive coverage, scaled coverage, and an option that pays the full sum assured.
Your client can choose to set the sum assured as a multiple of salary or a fixed rand amount. Additionally, we offer a reinstatement option that allows for multiple claims.
This benefit can be taken as a standalone policy or as an accelerated benefit when combined with death cover. We also offer add-ons, such as flexible coverage and an option for conversion upon withdrawal.

Scholars Personal Accident Cover

Built specifically for the education environment, our solution gives schools immediate access to medical assistance, whether they’re on the playground, on tour, or on their way home.
You get simple, all-inclusive cover where every learner is automatically included. Teaching and admin staff are covered at no additional cost, and ground staff can be added as needed. Because when it comes to children’s safety, there should be no gaps, no delays, and no compromises.
We know that schools carry the weight of responsibility for every child under their care. With Jigsaw by your side, schools can offer reassurance to parents, staff, and learners alike knowing that when accidents happen, they’re ready.
Disability Income Benefit
Our Disability Income Benefit provides a monthly income if an employee is unable to work due to an accident or illness.
After an initial period, which can be either 12 or 24 months, where the benefit is assessed based on own occupation, the ongoing benefit is determined based on experience and education, considering any occupation. The employee benefit can be structured with either a scaled or flat payout, and it's capped at 100% of the employee's net after-tax income at the time of disability.
We offer various waiting periods (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) and optional waivers for Retirement and Risk costs as well as Medical Aid premiums. Additionally, there's an option for a conversion benefit on resignation within 5 years of retirement age
Voluntary Funeral Cover

When an employee leaves their employer, we offer the option to retain their funeral cover independently, recognising their existing benefits and providing peace of mind through continued protection.

As an intermediary, you will contract directly with the insurer. We’ll help you with your contract and the accreditation process, ensuring a smooth partnership.
We also manage the payment of commissions and provide commission statements to you on behalf of the insurer.
